Sarah

Hi.

I'm Sarah & welcome to my blog, where I share things I love and easy projects you can accomplish with a DIY-loving dog and toddler in tow.

A Spring Update for the Picture Ledges

A Spring Update for the Picture Ledges

I finally took down the Easter Bunnies on the picture ledges! I took me a while to feel inspired. On a whim I started placing the melamine plates I ordered for the basement wall on the shelves - and fell in love!

I am in L O V E with the Target OpalHouse collection in general, but when  I saw these plates I just had to have them. I love the mix and match collection (and the price is pretty awesome too). Check out the two colorways here:  Pinks, Blues <-- affiliate link, in case you love these as much as I do!

I added some of my Spring Target dollar spot finds from years past, and since we're going to the Dominican Republic this Summer, the watercolor of a photo I think during our last visit seemed appropriate. To add some depth and texture, I added the two small white pieces of art - favorites from a 2010 trip to South Africa.

Here's a close-up of the one with the chicken. If only chickens were this cute in real life, right?

Once we have the basement put back together - there's a massive organizational effort happening down there - it will be hard for me to be convinced to take these plates off the shelves!
